Dom & Ollie’s Betting Battle
Over the course of the season Ollie and Dom will be giving you their four folds for the weekend in competition with each other. They must make one selection from The Premier League, The Championship, League One and League Two and the loser at the end of the season will have an interesting challenge in store:
Week 1
Dom: I’m going for Aston Villa to win at home against Blackburn, a side I think are in for a tough year, particularly if the unproven Steve Kean remains at the helm. Derby have made a flying start to the season so I’m going to back them to win at home to Doncaster, for League One I’m picking Charlton to scrape a win in a tough home clash with Scunthorpe and in League Two I’m picking Gillingham to beat cash-strapped Plymouth. This returns at 15/2 with Skybet which I’m hoping will give me a solid start to the race!
Ollie: I think Everton will win against QPR who, despite their takeover, will still be reeling from their opening day drubbing at home to Bolton, Hull have had a decent start to the season and have a good home record so I’m going for them to beat Crystal Palace. Stevenage are excellent at home and I have a feeling they’ll go very well this season so I think they’ll beat Hartlepool and in League Two I’m going for Crawley to win away at Torquay, as they did in The FA Cup last season. These four results are 10/1 with Skybet and I’m confident I can get off to a flyer!
